Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had a fantastic day flying and talking about drones at Altex DroneHub!
I was very well received, welcomed, and impressed by the entire experience. The team exceeded my expectations, and it was great to see how much Altex’s facility continues to grow and improve.
Their knowledge of drone flying and technology is truly state-of-the-art. Whether you’re looking to buy, fly, or learn, Altex DroneHub is a great place to visit.
One of the things I really appreciate is being able to demo new products and actually get a feel for what you’re buying before making a decision. That hands-on experience makes a big difference.
A great day, great people, and a great place for anyone interested in drones!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had an excellent experience with Altex Drone Pilot Academy. The study materials are very impressive and highly informative, including well-designed videos and realistic practice exams. These resources provided outstanding preparation for the written exam and made the learning process clear and efficient.

The flight review classroom instruction is equally professional. (Edward)is an exceptional instructor who demonstrates deep knowledge and patience, whether teaching in the classroom or providing hands-on guidance during outdoor flight training.
His ability to explain concepts clearly and reinforce safe, confident drone operation truly sets him apart.

I highly recommend Altex Academy to anyone seeking thorough, professional drone pilot training and exam preparation.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently completed my Advanced RPAS Certification with AlteX Academy and I can say it was an excellent experience. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and patient ~ something I could appreciate as a beginner at the time of writing this. The online course for the advanced certification is also extremely well delivered and organized in a systematic manner, taking you through the course material to eventually the written exam and flight review. The grounds and facilities are also top notch, as it provides a wide open space for practicing and honing your drone flying skills. I'm looking for forward to further training with AlteX and being part of their community. For individuals or organizations looking into drone training or certification, I would highly recommend AlteX Academy.

I’ve been visiting AlteX Drone Academy since I got my drone pilot certification here back on July 14, 2019. Over the years, I’ve seen the place grow from a simple tent to a full dome, and now they’re expanding even further with a larger dome and deck. The field is always great, but on Saturday, with the leaves changing color, it was extra beautiful!

The team here is genuinely wonderful and incredibly organized. They use radios to ensure everyone flies safely without interference—no worries about collisions even with multiple drones in the air. Highly recommend AlteX for both practice and certification! Love this place!

I am happy to report that I received my Transport Canada Advanced Drone Pilot Certification after taking the Altex Academy Ground School Course. I passed (minimum 80%) the challenging Transport Canada Advanced Exam on my 1st attempt thanks to the course content. I also passed my Transport Canada Flight Review (aka Drone Drivers Test) at the Altex DroneHub. I own and fly DJI Mavic 3 Pro, DJI Mini 3 Pro and DJI Avata FPV.

Family Day 2024
A spectacular year-round venue for learning all about drones, how they can be used plus best practices for safe and responsible flight under Transport Canada guidelines. Pictured here is AlteX Flight Instructor Ed and my nephew Jack, who took his first instructor-led flight during our visit. Congratulations Jack!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I've done my advanced license with Altex Academy. Having everything you need in one place is not so easy and marvelous job by the Altex team. Yifei is extremely knowledgeable and having access to her expertise is a privilege. I tried on some flying with Edward and he shares all his knowledge without any hesitation. Based on one question he can tell what is your next question and it is so easy with him. I took my flight review with Frankie and he was thorough in drone safety. Overall, Altex is a great team, they have put an incredible infrastructure for every drone enthusiast to steepen their learning curve. Such a great place to learn, practice and network - I wish Altex a tremendous success and I intend to continue with them my learning.

The facilities are perfect for flying and learning about drones. The instructors and staff are exceptionally friendly, and the advanced reviewer is an ace—super friendly, patient, and helpful. The field is beautifully maintained and well-organized, featuring a geodesic dome with Wi-Fi, seating, charging stations, coffee, and refreshments. It's an ideal setup for drone enthusiasts.

I recently completed my advanced review there, spending 2 to 2.5 hours. I only wish I lived closer so I could visit more frequently and fully enjoy everything they offer.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. As a newbie to the drone world, I recently purchased my DJI Mini 4 Pro from Altexacademy, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. Despite the price being on par with the market, Altexacademy went above and beyond by including a complimentary 3-hour extensive setup and practice session. This was an amazing addition that really set them apart.
Yifei and Alex were incredibly supportive and patient, taking the time to answer all of my questions. They provided valuable information that will definitely give me a great boost into my drone journey. Their expertise and willingness to help have made my session enjoyable.
Altexacademy is a true gem, however, is not just their excellent customer service but also their massive, amazing property. I fell in love with the place and the people, and I purchased a yearly membership to continue flying and practicing my drone there.
Highly recommend!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Awesome facility, I attended the Christmas Open Field Day. Was able to try a number of drones out that I thinking of purchasing in the future. The staff, were very knowledgeable on the DJI products and extremely patient as they guided me through the differences between a regular drone and a FPV drone. Overall great experience will definitely come back when I’m ready to purchase my new drone.
